Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before and after installing your plugin.

Account and purchases

How do I access my licenses, downloads, and order history?

Sign in to your HAKUNA account to view your purchased plugins, license keys, downloads, activation details, and order history.

I can’t find my purchase in my account. What should I do?

Make sure you are signed in with the same email address used at checkout. If your purchase is still missing, contact support with your order details and we’ll help you locate it.

Can I add a license key to my account?

Yes. If you have a valid HAKUNA license key that is not visible in your account, you can add it manually from your account area. The key is in the email you received when you bought it.

Licenses and activations

How many computers can I activate my plugin on?

Each HAKUNA license can be activated on up to 3 personal machines. Activating the same machine again does not use up another, so reinstalling or changing a disk costs you nothing.

What happens if I run out of activations?

You can free a machine yourself from your account, which is the usual case after replacing a computer. If you have reached your activation limit and need help, contact support with your account email and plugin details.

Can I transfer my license to someone else?

No. A HAKUNA license is personal and non-transferable, so it cannot be resold, lent or passed on. The terms set this out in full.

Downloads and compatibility

Where can I download my plugin again?

Sign in to your HAKUNA account, open your collection, and select the product you want to download. Choose your operating system and you get one ZIP file.

Inside it, in a folder named after the plugin, are three things: the installer for that system, the plugin’s user manual, and our Discord invitation. Nothing else.

Which plugin formats and operating systems are supported?

It depends on the plugin, so check the product page for the one you own.

MULTISTAGE SIDECHAIN
CLAP and VST3 on Windows 10 / 11 · 64-bit. CLAP, VST3 and Audio Unit on macOS 10.13+ · 64-bit, Apple Silicon and Intel.
HAKUNIZER
CLAP and VST3 on Windows 10 / 11 · 64-bit. CLAP, VST3 and Audio Unit on macOS 10.13+ · 64-bit, Apple Silicon and Intel.

Each plugin installs every format it ships, so load whichever one your DAW handles best.

My plugin is not appearing in my DAW. What should I do?

First, confirm that you installed a supported plugin format and that your DAW is scanning the correct plugin location. If the issue continues, contact support with your operating system, DAW version, plugin version, and a short description of the issue.

Updates and refunds

Are updates included?

Bug fixes, improvements, and updates throughout version 1.x are included at no additional cost. Major releases representing a significant evolution of the product may be offered as paid upgrades.

What is your refund policy?

You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase if the product has not been activated. If you are having a technical issue, contact us first and we will help you resolve it. See our Refund Policy for full details.

Product help

Where can I find the manual for my plugin?

Each product has its own manual with installation guidance, control explanations, and workflow tips.

Do I need an internet connection to use the plugin?

Once, to activate. After that it works offline. The plugin keeps a signed license on your machine and checks that file locally every time it loads, so a DAW scanning plugins at startup never waits on a network call and a studio without internet keeps working.
